Education Is The key To success In Life

< Why didn’t you learn all that you needed to learn when you were a child in school? Here are some suggested reasons for you.
  • Perhaps you found that when you reached a particular age or a stated grade in school, you started to fail at some subjects that you were previously good at.
  • And like so many others of us, you either gave up, or you found yourself, suddenly at the back of the class.
  • You didn’t guess that  your problems with learning might have been temporary,  because you were passing through a particular stage of development
  • You didn’t ever consider that your problem was in effect, like a  window which had closed for a while, but would open at a later time!
For some people,  this ‘window’ may not  reopen until after graduation from high school high school. And for you,  this has now happened! It is the opportunity of a lifetime, for you to grasp the success which has been so hard to grasp before, and thus, to gasp the key of education, which opens the door of success.

DO A SWOT ANALYSIS TO SET UP YOUR PLANS FOR SUCCESS

Fine Art and Photography by

I grew up in the Jamaican countryside, when as a child going to elementary and high school, especially during the holidays, I moved with my siblings and our cousins and family friends through a landscape replete with plants and animals, fish and birds, mountains and valleys, rivers and the sea.

I liked to draw and paint even then, and the images of the landscape and the people on which I pactised in those times past, form the basis for my contemporary pieces.

DIY FASHION OR OLD CLOTHES?

DIY FASHION OR OLD CLOTHES? What’s your favorite fashion style so far for 2019 , and do you look for style inspiration  from the older dresses and things that you’ve loved and feel comfortable in, but don’t feel much like wearing anymore?
Hello everyone!   I'd just like to say that I’ve sometimes found myself in a situation where I saved my fashion style through and using older, store bought clothing that’s pretty but worn out quickly, as the basis for pattern pieces for my personal brand of  retro fashion. My aim in doing this was to save as much as I could, not just in dollars, but in hundreds of hours spent scouring through the malls, and this objective has certainly been good for my pocket. applying the following principle: vintage clothing implies that clothing is old but has been well kept, whereas the term ‘retro’ applied to clothing means  that its new but it has been styled to bring back a certain style or look from former times when it was in style. Since commercial treaties have changed, and certain categories of clothing are no longer available in the stores, I’ve been winging it

Women Summer Dress Leaf Printed Sleeveless Mini Beach Dresses & Clothing > Women's Clothing > Women's Dresses

I must admit that I had learned to sew when I was a schoolgirl, and as a young adult, I used to sew some of my clothes. However, like many persons out there, I got lazy. The sheen of sewing wore off, I was tired of staying up nights when I had to wake up early to get to work next morning, and anyway, at one time, it was easy to get someone else to sew for me. Otherwise, ready-made clothing was fashionable, cheap and fun to wear.
Eventually, however, things changed and I realized that I needed to do things differently, hence I decided to take the sewing course. At first, it was slow going, but now, I find that I've really got into the swing of things.

EARLY BEGINNINGS OF MY DIY  LADIES FASHION PROJECT

Some time in the summer of 2018 I bought a cute dress in what was then one of the favoutite fashion trends. It was a body constyle in a variation of , a geometric floral print. It had a nice heart-shaped inset, in plain black, studded with gold points that reached from the hem to the upper bodice.

Although I didn't start off as robust as I'd have liked, I stuck to it, and eventually I got into a regular schedule.
This means that I'd have a special day, usually Friday, to do my cutting, and then I spend Saturday sewing all day.

   LATER DEVELOPMENTS
[caption id="attachment_282" align="alignleft" width="174"]ankara.top.and.skirt.2 lornafraserja.com: patterned navy Ankara blouse & Navy Skirt[/caption]
Eventually I began to make tops as well. I'd make print tops and pair  them with linen skirts. This proved to be  very economical and suitable for wearing to work.  I liked designing with Ankara fabric because it was  summer, (two years or so ago) and the garments were very cool and comfortable. Some of them went to church, as this crisp  navy number at left.
Here, the simple but elegant top is of Ankara fabric, but for the skirt, I used linen, which gives the straight skirt more body, and therefore, a better fit.
NEW WORK
I now schedule myself so that I do my designing in between my blogging, one or two hours on Thursday and Fridays, then sew on Saturdays.  Listed below are some of my favorites.

Ankara themed skirt and Top

This was the first style that I designed when I began to feel more confident. The top is  beige of  medium weight cotton.  The weight of the blouse  fabric was a nice foil to  the trim, which was the same fabric as  that of the skirt. It was  which was  fairly pliable, and therefore, took well to the semi-bias cut and longer hemline. Here I am, responding to compliments from my fans.

      Ankara themed  tops and skirts

You can see that the top of this design is somewhat similar to the Ankara theme above. Yes, as you can well imagine, it was cut from the same pattern. However, differences in the pattern of the fabric, as well as its different color and weight, made it appear different, I think. anyway, I took care to leave a decent interval in between showing it off!
.I've already confessed my fondness for Ankara fabric, so I wasn't really put out when it seemed that at some stage, almost the only fabrics available were either Ankara and linens. Indeed, the similarity of the fabrics made this project easy for me; I could use the same patterns multiple times, and fitting was easy. The floral Ankara top seen below was super-easy. It's cut like an A line dress, except that it stops at the hips. for the skirt, I made an applique, using two of the flowers cut from the fabric.

SIX  BENEFITS OF BULK PURCHASING  FOR MY DIY  LADIES FASHION

I need to say here, that I  I took advantage of fabric sales that regularly occur after major holidays such as Christmas and Easter, as well as in the middle of summer, before the back-to-school frenzy. benefits of this approach were
  1. I was able to buy fabric and stockpile it until I was ready for using it.
  2. I was able was able to indulge my fondness for wearing Ankara to the limit
  3. I was able to sew the fabrics I liked best first
  4. I gained a lot of confidence from taking this approach
  5. I saved a lot of money overall
  6. I felt superbly happy when wearing the finished garments, because they looked professional, and got a lot of 'Likes' from my friends.

OTHER DESIGNS
While I did  indulge my fondness for Ankara, I was able to create fashionable outfits from other types of fabric that I'd purchased and stockpiled during the different sales that were staged by the fabric stores. These included lightweight cottons as well  as polyester blends, seen below.
